Being a veteran who was born and raised in NYC, I have found that gardening, teaching, and sharing my love has provided me with an insurmountable amount of peace and therapy. That peace is what I desire to share with children, teens, and my brothers and sisters in combat.
PLANTING PEACE - HARVISTING HOPE IS MORE THAN A MANTRA, IT'S A WAY OF LIFE.
Victus Hortus is about providing an understanding of gardening for people of all ages.
We start with children, continue education with high school age students, and we specialize in helping Veterans who have come home from combat and reacclimating into society.
We teach self sustainability through gardening by starting our students off with a good foundation.
It doesn't matter where a person lives, it doesn't matter how much space you have, even in a small apartment you can grow healthy food to supplement their nutrition.
