Victus Hortus
At Victus Hortus we teach people of all ages about gardening and nutrition. We specialize in teaching elementary school children, high school students, and Veterans who have come home from combat.

What We Teach
We teach our students the basics about germination, seeds, soil and how to plant crops. Then we take them through a step by step gardening workshop to teach sustainability through gardening. With this foundation they won't have to depend on store bought fruits and vegetables.

Where Does This Happen
It all starts in a classroom where we teach our students how to grow up to 10 fruits and vegetables. Once our students complete their first harvest, they learn that it doesn't matter where you live, or how much space you have. Even in a small apartment you can grow healthy food to supplement your nutrition.
Programs for Growers of ALL Ages
Botany for Beginners - Basic growing education for young children.
Modern Day Independence - Teaching teenagers how to grow food and cook their harvest properly.
Veteran's Garden - Starts with all of the basics of our first two programs, but then we introduce large scale harvesting, sustainability and other aspects to help veterens learn to maintain a full working farm.
